Version 1, effective July 8, 2026. Written in plain English on purpose. Our counsel’s review continues, and every change gets posted here with a new date.
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Ironclad Verified collects, what we do with it, and the promises we make about it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
What we collect
- Search terms. What you search for, so we can show you the right contractors.
- Request details. When you send a request to a contractor: your name, your phone number, your email if you choose to add it, and your description of the job.
- Review submissions. Your review text, rating, and the job confirmation that ties the review to a real job.
- Basic logs. Standard technical records such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and to keep the site working.
Our promises
These are commitments, not aspirations. We consider ourselves bound by every one of them.
- Your request goes only to the one contractor you chose. Nobody else receives it.
- We never sell your information. Not your name, not your number, not your job details. To anyone.
- We never fan your request out to multiple companies. One request means one contractor.
- No ad targeting. Your information is used to connect you with the contractor you picked, and for nothing else commercial.
- Withdraw anytime. Use the withdraw page and contact stops. Lost your code? Your phone number works too.
- Reviewer contact details are never published. Your review appears under your first name and last initial. Your phone and email stay private.
- Delete your information. On your request page, "Erase my information" removes your name and contact from the request for good. Any review you left stays up as an honest record, but it is no longer tied to you. Lost your link? Ask us and we will erase it by phone once we confirm it is yours.
- Unsubscribe from email. Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and your email client's built-in unsubscribe works too.
No third parties in the page
These pages load nothing from anyone else. No analytics scripts, no ad pixels, no third-party fonts. Your visit here is between you and us.
How we use your information
We use what we collect to deliver your request to your chosen contractor, to confirm that jobs really happened, to compute the Ironclad Score, to detect fraud, and to run and improve the site. That is the whole list.
How long we keep it
- Request details are kept while they are needed to handle the request, confirm the job, and support the review record.
- Withdrawn requests stop all contact immediately. We keep a minimal record of the withdrawal itself so the stop sticks. If you erase your information, your name and contact are removed and only an anonymized record of the request remains.
- Reviews stay up as part of the public record. The contact details behind them stay private, and are removed if you erase your information.
- Contact details on finished, withdrawn, or unanswered requests are automatically erased after about 12 months. Logs are kept for about 12 months for security and fraud detection, then deleted or anonymized.
What contractors receive and what they may do with it
The contractor you choose receives your name, your phone number, your email if you provided one, and your job description. They agree to use that information only to contact you about that one job.
Reuse or resale of your information by a contractor is a violation of our rules and grounds for removal from the marketplace. If a contractor misuses your information, report it on their page and a human will review it.
Children
Ironclad Verified is built for adults. The site is not directed at anyone under 18, and we knowingly collect no information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we post the new version here with a new date. The promises above are the foundation of this marketplace. Any change that weakened them would defeat the point of the site, and we would tell you plainly before any such change took effect.
