Free for homeowners. Free for contractors. This page is the entire price list, and it includes the one fee that will ever exist here, published before it exists anywhere. Most marketplaces make you find their prices the hard way. Here is ours, all of it.

For homeowners: $0

Searching, comparing contractors, sending a request, reading and writing reviews: $0, forever. There is no membership, no booking fee, and no paid tier for finding and hiring a contractor here.

We also never make money on you sideways. Your information is never sold. Your request is never sold to a list of contractors as a “lead.” It goes to the one contractor you picked, with no fee attached on either side.

For contractors: $0 to be here

No listing fee, no lead fees, no memberships. No claim fee, no per-request fee, no subscription, no paid placement, no premium tier.

Free here is not a promotion and not a trial. It is structural. A ranking you pay to join is an ad, and the Ironclad Score only means something if every contractor can be on the list and no dollar anywhere decides who appears or where they rank. The day being listed costs money is the day the Score stops meaning anything, so that day can never come.

The one fee that will ever exist

Here is the only money this marketplace will ever take from a contractor. When a metro is fully live, meaning enough scored contractors and enough confirmed jobs that the rankings there carry real weight, contractors in that metro pay a flat fee per completed job, and only after the homeowner confirms the job actually happened. Not per lead. Not per call. Not per match. Not per month. A request that goes nowhere costs nothing, and a job that never happened costs nothing, ever.

Today that fee is switched on in zero metros. It turns on city by city, the exact amount will be published on this page before it turns on anywhere, and it is never retroactive: jobs completed before your metro goes live are never billed.

Founding contractors: exempt for life. That is what “founding terms” means on the application page: claim your spot while your metro’s founding seats are open, and the per-job fee never applies to you, in any metro, ever. Founding counts are real signed counts. There is no countdown clock and no manufactured scarcity.

Who pays the bills, then

A fair question to ask any free site. Ironclad Verified is run by the founder of a software company that sells back-office software to contractors, and that business funds this one today. The full relationship, and the wall that keeps it out of the Score, is spelled out at who runs this. The short version: no commercial relationship with us moves anyone’s rank, because the formula has no field for money in it.

Everything above is the complete price of using this marketplace: finding a contractor, or being one. So a standing promise: if anyone ever quotes you a fee to get listed here, a fee to rank higher, or a fee to remove a review, it is a scam. Report it and we will go after it.
