Ironclad Verified is run by the founder of Ironclad Solutions, a software company that sells back-office software to home-service contractors. Some of the contractors listed on this marketplace are Ironclad Solutions customers. You deserve to know that before you trust a ranking, so here it is, in plain terms.

The wall between the business and the Score

Being an Ironclad Solutions customer buys no ranking advantage. None. The Ironclad Score formula is identical for every contractor on this site, and it contains no field for customer status, payment, or any commercial relationship with us. There is no way, in the math, for money to move a rank.

The one real difference, stated honestly

Ironclad Solutions customers have their job records flow into the marketplace automatically from their back-office software. That means their record of confirmed jobs may build faster than a contractor who confirms jobs another way. The edge is the work itself, documented sooner. It is the only edge, and any contractor who does the same quality of work builds the same score.

How you can check us

A recurring fairness report will compare the score distributions of Ironclad Solutions customers against non-customers, along with the log of fraud removals, starting when the first cohort of contractors is scored. If the wall ever failed, it would show up in that data. We publish it so you can look for yourself instead of taking our word for it.

If a contractor stops being a customer

Nothing happens to their place here. A contractor who cancels Ironclad Solutions keeps their profile, their Score, their reviews, and their whole history, because all of it was earned from real jobs and it belongs to them. Connecting a job-management system to confirm jobs is free for everyone, customer or not. The business relationship and the reputation are separate on purpose: the day a score depends on paying anybody, it stops being worth anything.
